Michigan is still about 300,000 jobs below peak employment before the Great Recession.

Site selectors continue to say, when all things similar – including business climate, corporate income tax and strong workforce – Michigan is simply crossed off the list because of its lack of a strong business attraction tool for large-scale projects.
