FEDCO Officially Begins Construction on $5 Million Expansion

Eager to take their organization’s Monroe plant to the next level, Fluid Equipment Development Co. (FEDCO) officials and employees held a ceremonial groundbreaking on Wednesday (June 5) for a new $5 million expansion.

The facility, which is located on Ternes Drive in the City of Monroe’s Samuel J. Mignano Jr. Industrial Park, will almost double in size upon completion after adding a 78,000-square-foot addition.

“What we’ve done is incredible,” said Eli Oklejas, FEDCO president,  while addressing the crowd during the groundbreaking,  “We have the potential to become a global source for important new technologies.”

In part, the firm is hoping this expansion will help with it’s upcoming space needs after launching a new partnership with Japan-based Torishima Pump Mfg. Co.

Virgil Krueger & Sons of Tecumseh will be the general contractor on the project, which is expected to be completed next spring.
