Our annual fall event is right around the corner … registration will be closing soon!
Register to attend Focus On The Future, our annual fall event co-hosted with the Monroe County Community College! The event will be held on Tuesday, October 29, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, at the La-Z-Boy Center on MCCC’s campus.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Alexander E. Metcalf, President of the Transportation Economics & Management Systems, Inc., who is an internationally renowned expert in transport economics, demand forecasting, transportation modeling and systems development. He was the lead in numerous studies across the world including the study on the proposed “T-Train” that will run through Monroe County.
Did you know? … The proposed “T-Rail’s” will carry 5 to 6 million riders per year … it will connect the cities with 10 to 14 trains per day with 40-minute service to DTW from Toledo, 30-minute service from Detroit, and 20-minute service from Ann Arbor … for Monroe County, it will provide 1,000 man years of work, a 45.5 million increase in incomes, a 51.4 million increase in Transit Oriented Development (TOD), and an expanded tax base of $12 million.
