MEDC CEO Visits Monroe County
The Monroe County BDC had the pleasure of escorting Quentin Messer Jr., Michigan Economic Development Corp’s (MEDC) CEO, as he visited Monroe County on Friday, May 6.
Quentin has been CEO since May of 2021 after migrating North from New Orleans, LA. He was sought out for this position because of his clear passion for ensuring the benefits of economic development. He is charged with implementing and executing MEDC’s core mission of business development and attraction, community development, providing access to capital and enhancing Michigan’s image and brand.
The group visited Guardian Industries in Carleton and then headed to the City of Monroe to visit the Port of Monroe and Gerdau. Throughout the years, the BDC has partnered with the MEDC on a number of projects including projects at the sites that were visited.
We appreciate Quentin’s commitment to learning about the great state of Michigan and all it has to offer. Thank you for visiting Michigan’s Cornerstone!
