Veteran Business Matchmaking

Application is open for the 1:1 matchmaking at the 2017 Veteran Business Matchmaker. NVBDC, in partnership with Pure Michigan Business Connect and VetBiz Central, invites you to Corporate America’s Premier Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Business Event!

Veteran Owned businesses can expect to network, meet with corporate and government buyers, participate in our break-out learning sessions, and round out day 1 with our ever popular Vets Night Out on the evening of November 7, 2017. Day 2 will involve one-on-one meetings with buyers. The event and matchmaking is free, but registration is required.

Participating exhibitors and buyers include: Aristeo Construction, Amazon Business, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Comerica Bank, Consumers Energy, CSM Group, Defense Logistics Agency Land, Delphi, Denso, DTE Energy, DTMB-State of Michigan, FCA, Ford Motor Company, Freddie Mac, Herman Miller, GM, Kellogg, Lear, Marriott Hotel, Michigan State University, NASA Glenn Research Center, and Walbridge Construction.

MI-STEP Grant Changes for FY18

Please note these important changes to MI-STEP for FY18:
  • The new maximum annual award is $15,000
  • ALL applications must be submitted via the portal (same place companies submit reimbursements & quarterly progress reports)
  • Domestic trade shows are eligible again if they have a significant international presence
