Pure Michigan Business Connect, in partnership with Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and in cooperation with our local partner The Right Place Inc., is hosting the second annual Pure Michigan Agriculture Summit on March 19, 2015, at the DeVos Center in Grand Rapids.

The initiative connects Michigan growers and processors with retailers and institutional buyers in a dynamic one-day event to strengthen Michigan’s food supply chain. View a video of last year’s summit.

This is a great opportunity to meet one-on-one with food buyers who are looking to connect with Michigan companies to find qualified suppliers. In addition, buyers will have tables in the concourse area for on-the-spot appointments.

Participating purchasers include Associated Food and Petroleum Dealers, Busch’s Fresh Food Market, Cherry Capital Foods, Fortune Fish Company, Garden Fresh Gourmet, Heeren Brothers, Lipari, Kroger, Marquette Food Cooperative, Meijer, Metro Health Hospital, Michigan International Speedway, Pearson Foods, Plumbs Supermarkets, SpartanNash, The Henry Ford, University of Michigan, Walmart, Whole Foods and more.

The application lists over 200 open procurement needs in a variety of fields. Please click the link to review the open procurement needs and apply for a chance to attend this summit.

Each application will be reviewed and selections will be determined by participating teams based on the application. Please be concise and answer all application questions to the best of your ability.

Priority deadline to apply is February 22, 2015. Applications received after that date will only be considered if there are needs that have not been addressed through the initial application window.

Please note: Completing this application does not automatically confirm participation on March 19. All applicants will be informed whether or not they’ve been selected to participate on or before March 10, 2015.
