Shunli Steel USA Donates 26,000 Surgical Masks
We are happy to share the press release of yesterday on Shunli Steel’s donation to our community. We thank Bill Nolan and his staff for their assistance in helping to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
TEMPERANCE, 3/26/2020 — Shunli Steel USA, Inc., a division of Shunli Steel Group, Nanjing, China have within the last year opened their first manufacturing division outside of mainland China. Temporarily located in Erie, Michigan, with offices in Temperance, Michigan, Shunli is working with the Port of Monroe to establish a new manufacturing facility in Monroe, Michigan.
We at Shunli Steel USA, Inc. wish to do our part in supporting the Great State of Michigan, Monroe County, and our local community during this unprecedented time of need due to COVID-19. We know from first-hand experience just how serious this outbreak can be. Therefore, we have arranged with our parent company to provide 26,000 surgical masks for use in protecting those that are fighting on the front lines of this dreaded disease.
Masks are being donated to: 20,000 masks to the Emergency Management and Home Security Department of Michigan, and 6,000 masks to the Monroe County Health Department.
According to Bill Nolan, COO of Shunli Steel USA, “This idea was first conceived by my Administrative Assistant and Monroe resident, Jing Loos. Through our company contacts in China, and with great assistance from Mr. Silver Wang, Shunli Group Chairman, and Joanna Shaw, Shunli CEO, we were able to arrange to have these much-needed supplies expedited to our Michigan offices.”
