The Monroe County Link Plan's Grow Strategically Pillar Team is focused on making the process of starting and managing your small business easier throughout our community. The BDC in partnership with the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce are offering sessions geared toward entrepreneurs who are starting a business, have a new business or would simply like to learn more from local experts.

The first session of the Small Business Bootcamp was held on June 24, 2020 and focused on Financial Management. The guest speakers included Greg Applin of Dansard-Little Insurnce Agency; Aric Bennett of the Mannik & Smith Group, Inc.; Joan Branham of First Merchants Bank; and, Matt Hehl of Cooley, Hehl, Sabo & Calkins, CPAs.

The second session of the Small Business Bootcamp was held on July 1, 2020 and focused on Safeguards: Health, Wellness & Legal. The guest speakers included John Allen of Allen Chevrolet Cadillac of Monroe, Kim Searl with Mind Body Balance, and Matt Budds of Mohr Budds Law PLLC.

The third session of the Grow Strategic Small Business bootcamp features a discussion on Pivoting your Business and Enhancing your Online Presence. We welcomed on Jon Carrabino to discuss pivoting, Tad Fowkes to discuss website creation and e-commerce options, Aaron Jennings to discuss digital marketing and Nick Wilkens to talk cybersecurity and remote work.
