Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority Issues RFP
The announcement that the WDBA (Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority) has released its request for proposal to the three consortiums that will be bidding on the design, engineering and construction of the new Gordie Howe International Crossing is welcome news. This phase of the process is scheduled to take 18-months and the request and subsequent vetting of the proposals includes a great amount of detail and planning.
The actual construction of the bridge is estimated to take around 48 months, which projects to a completion sometime in 2022. Hopefully the project goes smoothly and completes ahead of schedule.
